VIMEO TUTORIAL

On 2009 edition, we will be using as recommended uploading method Vimeo.com website. We really advise to upload and send us your videos as soon as possible, in order to avoid last minute problems or doubts.

Obviously, it is possible to use any other method to upload and send your videos. The only important thing you should note, is that we need to be able to download the video as.wmv file (youtube or similar sites which convert the video or don't have a “download” option, are not allowed). Vimeo is free and very easy to use, so that's why we encourage participants to use it. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to upload your video to vimeo and send it to Acro3D Team:

1.- Go to http://www.vimeo.com website

2.- On top, you must introduce your name , e-mail ( it's mandatory to use a valid email account, as later you'll use it) and password . Don't forget to click the box “I understand and agree with Vimeo Terms & Conditions”. Now, you can click over “Join Vimeo”.

3.- A pop up window will show up. Close it.

4.- Click over “Upload video”

5.- Now, the system will do an e-mail verification. You have to revise your emails inbox and search for the Vimeo's activation email. You only have to click on the first link of the email to activate your account.

6.- Now we are ready to upload the video. Click over “Choose a file to upload”. Search for your video and select it to start uploading it.

7.- Now it should be uploading. Meanwhile, you should enter a name and description. Important: In the name should appear: registration number, the pilot's name and class (Advanced/Unlimited).

8.- The uploading process has finished. Now, click over “Go to video”.

9.- It will take two/three minutes to convert the video until it show up on the screen.

10.- Now, the most important thing. Copy the link (it will have this pattern http://www.vimeo.com/346638 but with different numbers) and send it to vfc09@acro3d.com . Please, don't forget to include in the email, pilot's registration number, pilot's name and class (Advanced/Unlimited).
